I'm quite excited to announce a new addition to my blogging schedule: 

Things I Love Thursdays 

in which I will highlight... things I love- every Thursday! 

So keep a weather eye out every fourth day of the work week...

The first item to be highlighted in this little lineup of mine is: {drumroll please...}

Dollar Store makeup

Say what you will about getting what you pay for- in dollar store makeup, I have found a precious gem that gives me so much more than I pay for. I have a set of eyeshadow that I purchased at the dollar store which has lasted over 6 months now. 6 colors. $1. Can you beat that? I don't think so. One of my favorite stores, Target, also sells makeup for a dollar- made by my new favorite brand E.L.F. I remember the days that I had to fork out $12 for mascara or $7 for an eyelash curler. No more!!! Now I can find them at Target for one dollar bill. It's kind of revolutionized my life and made my wallet very happy. 

There you have it! If you too are tired of spending so much money on cosmetics, if you too had resigned yourself to a life of expensive beauty products- let me be the first to extend to you the invitation to the happy place of dollar store makeup.

Senior Shoots: | Miss Rebecca |

Monday morning marked the beginning of school photo shoots. It was the unofficial end of summer, and it just felt right to kick off fall with a senior session. Thankfully, I had a fabulous subject for my pictures- a lovely little lady named Rebecca. 

 

I've known Rebecca for years, but I have to say- it made me feel really old to find out she was graduating! I feel like I barely graduated! 

Doing the shoot with Rebecca was tons of fun. It was a fresh, lovely morning, her outfits were fabulous, and her smile is stunning. 

Rebecca and I decided to do some additional photos in a few weeks when the colors change, but for now- do enjoy these!

Summer Photo Shoots: Ellie

I kind of feel like my blogging has gone to pot over the past few months. School has already started, and here I am, still catching up on photo shoots from the summer. But here we are: the last photo shoot from summer. (By the way, if you thought you heard sniffling and crying just now, that was me bemoaning the fact that my favorite season is rapidly slipping away.)

My last summer shoot features my lovely cousin, Ellie. She lives in Wisconsin, so I don't get to see her nearly enough, but I did get to hang out with her for a few fun days in July. While we were there, I dragged Ellie and my two sisters out to grab a few shots on the train tracks near my grandparent's house. Ellie is really gorgeous, and I kind of think she doesn't even know how pretty she is, but taking her pictures was easy and fun.

 It was insanely, ridiculously, disgustingly humid, but they were all good sports and we came out with some lovely photos.
